(approximately 1 hour, 2.4 miles)
This leisurely, mostly flat loop from Miwok Meadows to Turtle Back Hill and back will be guided by WildCare’s knowledgeable naturalists. It’s amazing how much you’ll see and learn! Sweeping bay views, herons, egrets and wildflowers abound. Where else can you experience three different ecosystems – grassland, salt marsh, shady oak and bay forest – in one small area? Wheelchair and stroller accessible. Great for all ages!
TRAIL MIXER HIKE
Shoreline, Back Ranch, Powerline, Bay View and Turtle Back Trails
(approximately 1.5 hours, 5 miles)
Get a taste of several China Camp trails during this moderate hike as we wind our way through shady oak and bay woodlands. We’ll be joined by WildCare naturalists, who’ll point out flora and fauna along the way. See wildflowers, spot deer and learn about endangered species. Choose to extend your hike by adding the Turtle Back trail with sweeping views of San Pablo Bay. Moderate elevation of about 400 ft.
